The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at the University of Jember has established a strong foundation in academic collaboration through its successful national conferences. In 2023 and 2024, the faculty organized the “Konferensi Nasional Mitra FISIP” (KONAMI), held on November 23, 2023, and June 20, 2024, respectively. This initiative was developed as a direct follow-up to Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) signed with 57 partner universities across Indonesia. The primary goal of KONAMI was to provide a platform for these partner institutions to solidify collaboration in various forms, culminating in a national conference with an ISSN-indexed Book of Proceedings that covered a wide spectrum of disciplines within the social sciences and humanities.
Building on the success and momentum of its national initiatives, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is now expanding its reach to the global academic community. As a strategic effort to enhance the quality of publications and broaden its cooperation network with international partners, the faculty is proud to announce its first-ever international conference: The International Conference on Multidisciplinary Issues (INCOMI). This event marks a significant step forward in the faculty’s commitment to fostering international scholarly exchange and contributing to global academic discourse.
The inaugural INCOMI will be held on October 30, 2025, under the central theme “A Push for Socio-Political Sustainability and a Golden Indonesia.” The conference will take place in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person participation at the FISIP Auditorium, University of Jember, and online attendance. The event will explore a diverse range of critical contemporary issues through its subthemes, including Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in Public Service Delivery; Climate Policy and Environmental Governance; Emerging Geopolitics and Indonesia’s Diplomacy; Social Inclusion and Gender Justice; and Smart Cities, Big Data, and Local Government Governance, among others.
