"Building on the success and momentum of its national initiatives, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is now expanding its reach to the global academic community. As a strategic effort to enhance the quality of publications and broaden its cooperation network with international partners, the faculty is proud to announce its first-ever international conference: The International Conference on Multidisciplinary Issues (INCOMI). This event marks a significant step forward in the faculty's commitment to fostering international scholarly exchange and contributing to global academic discourse. The INCOMI will be held on November 19th, 2026, under the central theme “Social and Political Innovation for Inclusive and Sustainable Development." The conference will take place in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person participation at the FISIP Auditorium 2nd Floor, University of Jember, and online attendance."

Hiroyuki Miyake is a Professor in the Department of Policy Studies, Faculty of Law, at The University of Kitakyushu, where he has served in various academic and leadership capacities since joining as a lecturer in 1991, including a tenure as Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2006 to 2008. He holds a Master of International Studies (MIS) from the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and completed postgraduate coursework at Hitotsubashi University and Calcutta University. His primary academic fields include Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Environmental Education, Social Geography, and Area Studies focused on Bangladesh. In addition to his university duties, Professor Miyake serves as the Regional Branch President (Kyushu Okinawa Region) for The Japanese Society for Environmental Education and leads the Research/Survey & International Exchange Team at the Kitakyushu ESD Council. His scholarship includes books such as Urban Environment of the Developing Country ~ Case of Dhaka, Bangladesh (2008) alongside numerous published articles and papers on ESD and regional studies.
Vivian is a Professor and Researcher of International Business and Development Economics at Universidad Anáhuac México, where she teaches international business classes. Her research is focused on International Development, Poverty, Cultural Intelligence, and Intercultural Leadership. She is also an adjunct Professor at Sofia University in California, USA, where she designs online courses and teaches in the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in Transpersonal Leadership. Vivian has lived and worked in various countries in Western Europe, the US, and for the past 19 years in Mexico. She has ample work experience in the Financial Services industry in strategic and global roles.
Vivian holds a PhD in Strategic Management and Development Policies from Universidad Anáhuac México and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, USA. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and Economics with a minor in Art History from the Université de Fribourg in Switzerland.
Cesaltina Ângela Soares, L.CP., M.Si. is a distinguished Timorese academic leader and public administration expert currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Political Science at Universidade Dili (UNDIL). She holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations from UNDIL, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Universitas Nusa Cendana (UNDANA), Kupang, and is currently advancing her academic expertise as a Doctoral Candidate in Administrative Science at Universitas Jember. With an extensive leadership background in higher education, she previously served as Vice Rector for Cooperation Affairs at UNDIL (2018–2022) and Head of the International Relations Department (2012–2014), alongside lecturing in specialized subjects including International Organization and Administration, Asia-Pacific Studies, and Regional Foreign Policy. Complementing her academic management, she has also contributed to governance and national policy as a National Consultant for the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Social Communication in Timor-Leste.
